Hi Ms TM, Clementi Ave 1 is one of the Selective Enbloc Redevelopment scheme. The occupants of those blocks have been relocated to new flats in Clementi or other towns of their choice. The current plot which they are demolishing has no plans as yet, but it is residential land, and will be a residential development.

As for the demolished shops behind Eng Wah Cineplex, yes I recall those fondly too. It isn't sure at this moment, but could be some revitalization, as traditional shops no longer work for a location like Clementi. As we look at the new Eng Wah Cineplex with 10 Cinemas in one building, I wonder what they will be building there.
