Hi Agents, I have a friend that has rented an office space for 2yrs.
Come June he will have been using this office for 1 yr.
He has decided to move his biz operations to Malaysia, but wants to sublet his office as he may plan to move back here in the future.
With one year left on his term, I would like to find out if it is legal/possible for him to sublet this unit? Thank you..!

Hi,

I don't think your friend is able to sublet the office. It will be advisable for your friend to talk to the landlord to either break the lease or find a replacement for his current lease.

The tenant should discuss with the landord before any further action. otherwise, find a replacement tenant.
