Great Location. Great amenities. Excellent co
Dated as it may be. Shifting in to this development is the best choice after living in luxury development south of Singapore for almost 11 years. Connectivity, Park connector, Public Transport (Bus and MRT). Super Market, Wet Market. Dempsey, Orchard, Robertson Quay, great World City, Zion food centre are all a stone throw away. Schools are aplenty for kids of all ages. Loving it. -

Resident at Tanglin View
I have been living here since 2019. Reasons I chose this condo: 1) Location: centrally located near town area with easy access to MRT (Redhill) 2) Amenities: including restaurants and coffeeshops, supermarkets and the Redhill wet market and hawker center 3) Unit sizes are large including full condo facilities 4) Capital appreciation (which has been the case since 2019) including untapped plot ratio of 2.8 (translating to 30 stories high vs current 20 stories); potential optimization in the future Like any developments that are more than 20 years old, the importance considerations are (a) the upkeep of the development (e.g. lifts are recently retrofitted) and (b) the condition of the individual units (I bought a fully renovated unit). Form your own judgement against the above factors. -

Dated and weary. Contruction noise
The condo has a nice big pool but the facilities are interiors are very dated. Old leaky aircon pipes in condo, faulty electrical lines that keep tripping, etc, and the landlords are not willing to invest in repairing or changing anything. Also the management and security are very intrusive and rude. There is also an ongoing HDB project just across the street that creates a lot of noise. -

HDB construction is a major dampener for this
This condo used to be a good place to live but the HDB construction started, the noise and dust is a huge issue. The only open green view is going to go away soon -

Great Place to Live
Tanglin View is one of those rare more established estates where you will find spacious apartments with large living rooms & bedrooms, high ceilings & big windows. The layout of the apartments are open plan and well designed and give the feeling of space. Having lived here for over 10 years, Tanglin View has a lot to offer with a huge land plot and full facilities, including 4 new pools, 2 playgrounds, 2 newly paved tennis courts, BBQ pits, a new gym, mini golf, plenty of places to sit and relax and an air-conditioned club house. The location of the condo is close to Redhill MRT, bus stops, supermarkets, schools, restaurants & cafes. It is right on the river and so very close to Great World City and Robertson Quay. Tanglin Mall and Orchard Rd are 5 mins away. Overall a great place to live. -

Rude staff
I lived here for about 2 years. Security staff were rude and I always met with sighs and horrible attitudes whenever I spoke to them. The management office was pretty much the same. Unprofessional. -

Good location but very dark at night
Visited this place during daytime and night time. Bigger bedrooms compared to those new launches are definitely the selling point here. During daytime, facilities and surrounding look good and tidy, albeit dated and needed upgrading. During night time, lighting at the pool area is really dim and visibility is bad. There are no yellow line markings on the steps leading to the clubhouse. The dim lighting definitely pose a danger to elderly or young children. The only bright spot at night time is the tennis courts. In addition, there is no covered shelter along the way from all the 3 towers nor carpark leading to the clubhouse. When holding functions on rainy days, brollies are mandatory. -

Serene environment but dated facilities
I visited Tanglin View and few others around the vicinity looking for a 3 bedrm unit Pros- Serene environment, nice pool and well spaced units. Cons - facilities a bit run down, e.g bbq pit, tiles along the swimming pool, function room. Security was laxed, our car was let in with no qns asked, twice. Lift has a stale smell. Heard maintenance fees is above $400 per mth. Will be looking ard for other areas. -

Pool closure
Prospective tenants should be aware that according to management the pool will most likely be closed for 7 - 9 months from May 2016 for renovation. -

Tanglin View
A little dated from outside but facilities still very good. Location can't be faulted especially if one drives -
