facilities are ok, surroundings are much bett
just taking Southaven II on its own, i think it's quite an ok condo, decent, mostly due to the age. but the facilities are pretty swell, the maintenance has been upkept so the clubhouse, tennis court and two massive swimming pools are in great condition. visitors tell me the parking is good. price wise i think that is quite ok. now, looking at it as part of the surroundings, with the whole green corridor area around, prime area location, some MRTs, and of course schs for fellow parents, oh and the VIEW, i think it is excellent and definitely a must-buy! come and join me as my neighbour! -

Tranquil, Cozy, Well maintained brand New pai
Condo is tranquil and near to nature reserve, Super fresh air in the morning and cooling in the evening, 2 huge swimming pool great for weekend chill, Near to Beauty World ld MRT station, Condo amenities are well maintained with a team of new management staffs, -

At the entrance to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
It is at the doorstep of the nature reserve, and those who live near the side gate have a bus stop immediately outside. Just one stop to Beauty World MRT, convenient and with F&B options. Units are mostly of regular shape and a good size compared to newer condos coming up in the area. -

Close to nature with many F&B options
Great for nature lovers - Bukit Timah Nature Reserve to the left, and the Bukit Batok and Dairy Farm Nature Parks to the right, all within short walking distance. The pool and gym are well-maintained, and the estate is frequently cleaned and fogged. Hawker centre, cafes and other eateries just across the road. Intercom system was recently updated. Building can do with a fresh coat of paint. -

good condo
the railways behind the condo have been aboandoned however the southhaven 2 and 1 are totally different tenure years and the names of the condominium are also confusing. but the ammenties are good and close to town and the fresh air can be smelled every day. -

EXCESSIVE REDTAPE & BY-LAW CENTRIC MANAGEMENT
I've been living here for quite sometime so trust me on the following - 1) Management displays excessive bureaucracy. MCST strata bylaw pettiness is preferred over resident harmony. Everything needs to go through management, everything (Car permits to resident passes to sublet approval to renovation approval) needs paperwork and excessive back and forth email correspondences. Simple matters take weeks for approval. 2) Management hires untrained, rude and blatantly lackadaisical guards following suit to cost-saving motives. Guards change every month due to resident complaints. 3) Apartment are nice with high cielings and good amenities. But aforementioned drawbacks neutralize such positivity. Don't live here if you want peace of mind. -

Nice place but not so great management
Sold my place, a 3 bedder, a few years back. Had good memories of this property. Super fresh air from the bukit timah reserve will transcend upon the property from evening onwards. Always gd for a evening or morning run around the estate. 6 minutes from the side gate to the Cheong Chin Nam eateries and BW MRT. Security is pretty on the ball as well. No mosquito problem as well, very happy with that! However several factors prevent the price of the project from exploding upwards. 1)Facade of the condo, White with "orbiang" cheapskate green = low class. Patio shelters are all green, no options like classic brown. Shake head, dunno why management wants this cheapskate green. All the famous ID also shake head. The management also used some kind of low quality white paint that breeds algae on the walls such that exterior looks dirty. They should really learn from Maplewoods or duchess crest and paint the estate into a more resort theme 2) Narrow entrance and weird traffic flow ard the estate. one barrier for both resident and visitor. poor signage ard the condo. Directions and block labeling are atrocious and confusing for visitors. They should invest in proper signages and directions. 3) Nice gym size but lousy gym equipment. 4)Grand and beautiful fountains but so what? Ugly landscaping around the fountains, poorly maintained, choked drainage. Fountains constantly over flow and pavements flood easily around the fountains. Management should really take responsibility for that. Repair works takes months. 5) If majority of the residents have our way, we would rename the condo. Its pretty confusing to have Southaven I and II !!! Why?? Its confusing for visitors and also dilutes the sense of belonging and identity of the place. Otherwise, its really a nice place to live in. Nice air, pple and environment. -
