  poor investment and place to stay

  i am a foreigner on a 3 yr job contract. we rented a 130+ sqm around 4kish. we are not exactly pleased with a few areas. poor in carpark design. basement is flooded during heavy rain. noise level is disturbing from the rail line works. poor light into the rooms. dark and gloomy not worth the asking prices. shld be at least 200k lower than wat is demanded.

  Maplewoods

  Old, expensive and overrated . Noisy constructions of downtown line. MRT line nothing to boast about cos Singapore will be well connected in 2016 to 2017 . A few MRT stations will be built very near to other lucky condos too. You can take a look at the LTA web site for mrt system map on future stations. I rather pay reasonable price to stay in other areas than flood zone.

  Resort Living

  Maplewoods is well designed, well built, well maintained, and lush with greenery. It really feels like living in a resort. There is a convenient shuttle bus to Newton MRT in the mornings and evenings and then to Orchard road and Holland Village in between, and a future MRT station at the doorstep in the future. The residents are friendly too, all in all a good neighborhood to raise kids in. I have no regrets living here.

  Convenient location

  After a year long search, I finally decided to stay in Maplewoods. This location is perfect for me as it is close to good schools and 3 major supermarkets within a stone's throw, (NTUC Finest, Cold Storage and Giant). Good access to highway. Parking is convenient, no shortage of lots unlike the previous place I stayed. My kids also liked that there are two playgrounds, lots of greenery for walks, and our block facing is peaceful and quiet. The in-house cafe and shuttle service to Holland V and Tanglin is also good for us.

  Floods in Maplewoods

  it is not true that the basement carpark are well designed as mentioned by THG. We live in seraca court. The basement carpark in our building have been flooded 3 times these year alone.

  Survived From Recent Floods

  We have live here for 2 years. The recent flood did not affect Maplewoods at all. Maplewoods car park was designed to allow natural sun light to come in and fresh air ventilation. On the rainny days, the exposed areas will be wet as expected but have never been flooded.. We are lucky to have this design.

  Overated and Flood Zone

  Extremely bad flooding problems especially in the basement carparks. Plus major mosquito issues. Constantly fogging taking place. And now with MRT being build constantly noise pollution!

  Nice environment

  Maplewoods is located in a "high-class" residential area and it never fails to give me the feeling of peacefulness there. For a period of time i even imagine it as the castles featured in harry porter.
