  over-rated condo

  I've been there to view a unit but was quite disappointed with the quality of the unit. It was so run down that it's not worth to spend 1 million on a unit. Furthermore, I was told that the ground units had problems with termites. The only thing that is its saving grace is perhaps the swimming pool. There are quite a number of pools that would make families with children really happy. Still, it seems too much for owners to be asking for over $1200psf for their unit? For this kind of pricing, there are better units around. Please be realistic in your asking price before the US debt crisis and Greece crisis bring down the property market and makes it difficult for much sales to go through in Singapore.

  Best in class

  DPV in my opinion is the best in class (under 1000 psf). Compeition is what? Units in Yishun and Sembawang? Comapred to those lcoation is so much better. Good schools around and new mall comin up right in front. Rental yield is high due to biopolis and INSEAD nearby. units are getting old, for a person who buys, pls cater for reno $$. great facilities.

  Dover Park veiw /Dover rise

  i am interested in buying 2bed room condo in Dover park view or doverrise, but some of the agent has advertised the rates 950 psf. is that correct.

  Good facilities, unpleasant staff

  Access to this condo isn't good from the back entrance-steps and a heavy door make it very tricky for a shopping-loaded stroller which also contains a child. But this entrance is by far the better for access to shops and my son's school, so I need to use it more often than not. Guards can be disrespectful and unpleasant and management heavy-handed. Friends dropping off and collecting their children are obliged to park in a multi-storey some distance from my unit - a 5 minute job thus takes 20. They allow our HDB neighbours unchallenged access to the swimming facilities however, even when clearly approaching the condo from their HDB opposite in full-view of the guardhouse and dressed in a swim suit and robe! Maintenance of the communal areas is a very mixed bag. Having been told that the kids' splash pool would be repaired by Sept. last, it took M'ment till Nov. to have the tiling job done. Personally I find living here specifically, tricky, and being a tenant in S'pore generally, also very fraught since it is clear that we have very few rights and the landlord rules.

  So so investment

  I live in this development sometime ago. My experience is that the development was infested with cockroach and termites. There were issues of poor workmanship overall. Overall the facilities is good and seems to be a little old now due to age. I am surprised that the asking price is much higher or somewhat close to Heritage View which is a much better layout though both are FEO development.

  DPV, quiet yet superb location

  Nice spacious design with many gardens, pools, open spaces. Quiet environment yet nice amenities available for families. Within walking distance to the premier entertainment, lifestyle and retail experience of Vista Xchange precinct of one-north, and nearby Holland Village. Few walking steps away from upcoming Singapore Civic and Culture Centre. Lots of well-known schools nearby reachable by mere walking... close proximity to East-West line MRT and future circle line...

  Dover has charm and great pool

  Having lived in Dover for about 12 months, I really like the pool area. The pool is great for laps and the BBQ pits are nicely just by the pool for those evening gettogethers.. Also, the compound is quite spacious and has most common facilities - and they are all in decent condition. Buona Vista MRT is about 10 minutes walk away, so not so close, but most condos in Singapore are like that. Closest shopping is in Holland Village, which is a bit too far by walking, but just a couple of bucks by taxi.
