    Interjunglelace

Went to view 4 units here with a budget below 2mil. While I was impressed with the architecture from the outside, going in I felt like I was in a concrete jungle. Many units here face each other, lacking privacy. Those on high floors with sea views are overpriced. Due to the many layers of concrete blocking the winds, walking around interlace seems to be extremely hot, even at nights. Sure the gym was big and impressive, but even on a weekday night viewing, all the treadmills was being used and the gym seem overcrowded. Same goes for the pool. But then again what do you expect for a project with over a thousand units. Not to mention the fact that I saw many units still vacant. Imagine how crowded it would be when fully occupied. Interior wise, the best thing was most units come with huge bedrooms, but the build-in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets seem of poor quality. HP is building their new office next door. So noise and dust for the next 2 years. If you are looking for investment through rental, better don't waste your time. There are so many other units to rent from. Why should yours be any different unless you are willing to rent out at low prices. In fact all the units I viewed were sellers whose tenant's lease were ending, and felt better off to sell then rent out again. I would say only buy interlace if you have a few mil to spare to get really nice spacious unit with nice sea views. For those looking for smaller units below 2mil. Look elsewhere.

    My Best Home

This is my 13th property - rental and owner occupied over the last 20 years. Having moved in from a landed property, this is meant to be my retirement home. I wanted lots of space, greenery, privacy (as only residential in a commercial area - weekends quiet) and wide range of facilities. Not disappointed and instead blessed with more! I just love the gym! Feeder service to Vivo City, food amenities galore at Alexandria Food Centre, Anchorage, The Arc, Hotel (to be completed soon). Built of a hill with unobstructed views and strong winds throughout the day and night and less heat due to green environment, this must be my best lifestyle home so far. Am sure that in time, will be my best investment! Iconic project, biggest or 1 of the biggest plot, good rental demand and yields - strong expat communities - and fantastic living environment. Importantly is to get a unit like mine with fantastic view and wind and renovate it luxuriously! My only serious complain is some dog owners are not doing their part to keep the place free of dog poo and urine. Lastly, am grateful to the managing agent for their professionalism (effective communications, hard work and efficiency) in making The Interlace a wonderful home for all!!

HP building new office next door

HP will have their new Singapore office built right next door. It will a construction site over the next couple years, so residents will suffer from the increased noises especially those units not facing AYE. It will enhance the project's value in the long run. how much, not sure. http://www.mapletreeindustrialtrust.com/Customer-Solutions/Newsletter/MIT%20Express%20-%20June%202014/MIT%20News.aspx

    Greenery, City Living, Convenience (D04)

Living in The Interlace has been great. The site gives one the feeling of 'space' which is getting rarer and rarer in Singapore. And, due to the elevated grounds and unique arrangement of the blocks, the units facing outwards have good views and good breezes. With the treetop walk and green belt within walking distance opposite as well, good amount of activities for couples and families over the weekend. Great facilities – gym, lap pool, children's playpool (which is really popular with the kids), spa valley, billards room, dog free-run area etc. Maintenance and management team is very professional and responsive. They may be sticklers for protocol (hence the review below which commented on the waste management policies) but as a resident, I view this as something that can only be beneficial to the residents by ensuring that there's no indiscriminate dumping all over the site. Short drive (and shuttle bus provided) to Harbourfront MRT station and VivoCity. Great for amenities/dining out/supermarkets. Cons- Function rooms are relatively small, large number of units – hence pool area during weekends can get rather crowded.

    Love living here

This is one of the best places I have ever lived - wonderful amenities and very exciting design. Of course there have been teething problems as the units have been released but the management seem to be responsive to most of them. You need to select the right unit to match the lifestyle you want. Very happy with ours

    My stay in Interlace

Having stayed in Interlace for a few weeks, here r my observations: Good 1) Open & ample parking lots 2) Impressive gym & swimming pool 3) Good view from certain units of Interlace 4) Big windows = Bright units Bad 1) Carpark only allows delivery truck of 3.1m (only) and I often see many (tall) trucks park outside and manhandle all furnitures into Interlace. Imagine you are staying furthest from entrance? 2) Units facing AYE are pretty noisy throughout the day. All windows have to be shut. 3) Whole unit is too white and easy to be dirty. 4) Toilet bowl is not strong and I need a min. of 2 flush most of the times. 5) Location is pretty unaccessible for people who doesn't drive. The peace is offset by the noise from AYE. Very bad 1) V poor waste management. Residents are not supposed to dumb any bulky items right under their block and they have to bring it to a "centralised" waste collection centre at Blk 210. Interlace is a big development, and Blk 210 may be walking distance to some n driving distance for others. Even HDB provides more convenient waste collection. 2) Very narrow common rubbish chute which stops you from throwing anything bigger than a normal plastic bag. 3) The management is so persistent on residents taking care of their own rubbish to the extent when you are moving into Interlace, they will ask ur truck to unload all boxes and write ur block & unit # on each and every box so that if you dumb it downstairs, they will know who did it. R we prisoners or residents? Overall, this place "looks good" but is not practical to stay for long term. Lucky I am only a tenant and I am already looking for somewhere else with better management.
