    One can't really walk comfortably to the MRT

    One can't really walk comfortably to the MRT station but it is compensated by the lush greeneries in the rather generous land size and a full suite of facilities.

    I love its proximity

    There are many plus points to talk about Terrasse, but a few that I’ll mention for now are as below. I live here and I love its location in terms of its proximity at the junction of Hougang Ave 2 and Yio Chu Kang Road. The MRT stations are not that far away. I love the fact that we have quite a good choice of buses to take to the nearest MRT stations or other places - just 7 bus-stops to Serangoon MRT crossline, and 8 bus-stops to Ang Mo Kio MRT. There are about 10 buses plying just in front of our front gate along Yio Chu Kang Road, and about 7 buses plying at the side gate along Hougang Avenue 2. Sometimes, we find ourselves having to get to places that aren’t even near any MRT, and hence the choice of buses come in handy. We also don’t need to be too reliant on the MRT system, as we all know about its “down-time”. It is resort living here, and the pool is lovely to swim at night. Facilities-wise, Terrasse has the full package, which I don’t need to mention again. Parents wanting to get their kids into Rosyth, it’s within 1km range. Bowen Secondary is a good secondary school nearby. The larger units have their own private car-parks, else there should be ample parking space for all, and probably those with 2nd cars too. As all our units are of north-south facing, the morning sun & evening sun is no issue here, except for slight angle, naturally depending on the time of the year and the tilt of the earth. It can get pretty windy at certain times of the year. I love the Misty Falls that sometimes reminds me of Genting Highlands, and the pond that has the koi and other fishes – good for feng-shui, I should think. In a nutshell, this is home.

    Inconvenient

    This place is too far from the train station and amenities. Unless you like quiet and peace, skip here. There are many more choices in Serangoon.

    Rubbish comments

    It's interesting how the negative comments in the previous posts were dated WAY BEFORE the development even TOP'd. I've been staying here since Jan 15. The place is quiet, breezy, and landscaping is beautiful. (Try visit us at night!) The neighbours are really friendly and we know most of each other by name. There is a lot of Social Networking going on and block parties and events. It is also a popular place for European Expats to rent, especially the French - there are quite a number of French Families here and they join us for our quarterly-organised BBQs! Is it far from MRT? Well, quit being a whiner and take a 10-minute bus ride. Otherwise, go buy yourself a car, bike or electric scooter. It's a lovely place. I call it home.

    Note: In a declining market, > 1 km from MRT is a NO NO. Are you looking for (1) facilities/quiet/out of place location OR (2) within 10 mins WALK to MRT/amennities, easy to rent out? For location like 5 mins drive here, 3 bus-stps away, it is considered 'ulu' in a small place like Singapore.

    The Location Beauty of Terrasse

    For those of you who thinks that the location is no good, I beg to differ for the following reasons. 1. Exclusive and peaceful environment. For those who have driven around this neighbourhood will love it as this area is within a huge cluster of BIG landed properties which gives you a nice peaceful and exclusive feel. This is very different feel from Joo Chiat/ Katong landed properties area as that area feels really congested and stressful. This feel is very rare now in Singapore as our land is getting scarce by the years! 2. Ntuc and Coffee shops within 5mins walk. Across the long overhead bridge, you would find an NTUC and a lot of coffee shops for a quick and authentic local mean. 3. Serangoon Gardens/ Chomp Chomp. Within a 5 mins drive is Serangoon Gardens where this area will be kept as a heritage site according to the new 2013 URA Master plan. This place needs no introduction to our fellow Singaporeans. 4. Unique Accessibility. Once you drive out, there are 3 immediate directions you could take. The roads links you either to Ang Mo Kio, Hougang/ Serangoon or Yio Chu Kang. For those who do not drive, there are 2 main bus stops just outside the condo which has a wide variety of bus services. 5. 3 mrt stations nearby with free shuttle service from Terrasse to Serangoon station. Hougang, Kovan and Serangoon station are all within 5 mins drive to this condo. There are shopping malls at each of this stations. 6. Surrounded by Elite Schools. Within 1km to elite schools such as Rosyth and Xinmin Pri and within 2 km to Montfort and St Gabriel's. There are also 2 international schools around the condo.

    Not Good and not honest review

    In case you are wondering, the title is a pun on the previous reviewer. Obviously the location is nothing to shout about with nearest MRT line either in Hougang or Serangoon, which either is consider walkable. Next to a busy Hougang Ave 2 leading to AMK Ave 3 , I can hardly can it a peaceful environment, except units facing Poh Huat road. This condo is really for own stay and drives. I don't think there is any upside for investment unless the cross island line station stop in front of this development.

    Good and honest review

    The site of Terrasse is located right smack at the junction of Hougang Ave 2 and Yio Chu Kang Road. In terms of facilities, Terrasse offers the full package (tennis and multi-purpose court inclusive) and probably a little more. Most of the facilities are located along the full length of the site at the centre of the development, with the apartment blocks lining on both sides. And given the slopping ground, one should get a rather spectacular view of the condo facilities while standing at either ends of the estate. The ones that are worth a mention include: 1) Resort like project which occupies a big plot of land. The only similar project of such a scale is Flamingo Valley. 2) Within 1km to Roysth. This is a driving factor for parents who want to have their kids enrolled into a relatively good school. 3) Unique balcony designs. This makes the project different as compared to others. 4) All units in Terrasse are of North-South orientation and largely unblocked on all sides (except the back, which faces some low-rise terrace houses). So it should be quite breezy in your apartment. 5) I am quite impressed with the facilities provided in Terrasse, which should look quite stunning if the designs are materialized fully: • 3 Clubhouses • Firefly Creek – a pond with fibre-optic lights that recreate a firefly effect at night • Castle Playscape – a playground designed in the shape of a castle
